Width: 9.5 cm (3.75 in) Height: 14.5 cm (5.7 in) This vase is an unusual shape with a somewhat flattened body and a long tapered neck. The body is gilt and enamelled with 4 panels, two of garden scenes and two of women & children. The long, tapered neck has a single continuous scene of women and children. There are beautifully painted, brightly coloured diapers at the rim and at the juncture of the body and neck. The vase is in near-perfect condition with no damage, no restoration, and virtually no wear to the gilding. It has the signature of Ryozan on the base along with the Yasuda company mark. |
