c. 1840 hatbox or bandbox with Hannah Davis label. Hannah Davis(1787-1863) of Jaffrey, New Hampshire covered boxes with hand-blocked wallpaper and sold and traded them to girls and women to store hats and bonnets. Covered in nice floral paper in shades of pink and green. Inside is lined with newspaper. Label on underside of lid. Some damage to both box and paper. Dimensions: 12" h x 17" w x 13" d.

English classical sarcophagus style tea caddy. Dating from around 1820, this tea caddy is a superior example of late Georgian elegance. The fitted interior has two wooden boxes for tea and a crystal mixing bowl. The tea caddy rests on four bun feet. The tea boxes feature hinged lids. Overall condition is very good. Some buckling of veneer on top and damage to one foot. One tea box has split on bottom and minor repair to top. Crystal has several chips on underside of foot. Dimensions: 5.75" ...click for details
