Charles Mark Relyea Western Painting

Charles Mark Relyea watercolor and gouache. Western scene depicting man and woman on horse drawn carriage with cowboys on horseback in distance. Important artist with many works selling over $8,000 at auction. Signed lower left. Small tear in paper near top. Dimensions: 30" h x 23.75" w (framed); 18.75" h x 12.25" w (unframed). Charles Mark Relyea (1863-1932) was active in New York. He is best known as an illustrator and figure painter. During his lifetime he exhibited with the Pennsylvania Academy, Society of Illustrators, and Society of Independent Artists.
