| Four exceptionally fine Dutch decorated English creamware plates, circa 1760. Each bowl features a different scene from the story of the Prodigal Son: Receiving His Patrimony (Den Verlooren Zoon), In Misery (Zyn Arremoe), Taking Leave (Zyn Afscheid), In excess (Zyn Hoerery). Nice border featuring foliate and scroll shapes. Beautiful colors and wonderful quality. Two plates have a rim chip, one has a flake, all have crazing. Dimensions: 10" diameter.
