Here is a beautifully patinaed side table made from solid walnut during the reign of Louis XV by the middle part of the 18th century. This adorable piece consists of a rectangular top sitting upon a straight belt featuring a single drawer mounted with its original wrought iron acanthus shaped escutcheons and its original lock and key; it is simply supported by 4 slightly scrolled cabriole legs.
