This is an elegantly simple and typical Parisian Rosewood Bookcase made by the beginning of the 20th century during the Art Nouveau period. It is topped by its original Alep Breccia marble, which has been repaired at some point, sitting upon a straight façade featuring a pair of glass doors lovely embellished by inlaid flower-filled baskets, all supported by slightly scrolled legs. This is a simple but appealing Armoire made from solid oak during the end of the Empire period by the first quarter of the 19th century consisting of a flat molded cornice sitting upon a pair of paneled doors revealing a large storage compartment with 3 shelves standing on a massive pediment offering a large hidden bottom drawer. Lock and key are not original and were replaced at some point. Circa date 1820. Dimensions 84”high/ 55”wide/ 59”wide with crown/ 20”deep.

This is a colorful engraving depicting the East View of the Cette Harbor during the second half of the 18th century at the beginning of the reign of Louis XVI. Today this town is commonly called Sete and is located in the south of France. The frame is not original and estimated to be from the middle part of the 20th century. The sculptor is Y. Le Gouaz (1742-1816). Circa date 1776. Dimensions Frame 11 ½”high/ 13 ½”wide.
