| This is a splendid transition step-front chest of drawers boasting an elegant rosewood veneer and topped by its original beveled carerra marble sitting upon the elaborate inlaid medallion depicting floral basket with ribbon centered on the pair of drawers "sans traverse" mounted with their original bronze handles and escutcheons. Note the pediment consisting of 4 slightly scrolled cabriole legs providing appealing and strong support to this beautiful piece of furniture. The interior of both drawers is covered with a yellowish fabric estimated to be 10 years old. It can be removed if requested. Circa date 1890. Dimensions 34 ½”high/ 41”wide/ 18 ¾”deep. | |||||||||||
