| This is a splendid desk made from solid and nicely patinaed oak during the second half of the 19th century consisting of a large rectangular top featuring a dark inset vinyl with gilt foliate borders sitting upon the straight and intricately carved sides featuring a 3-drawer frieze mounted with wrought iron handles (note that the central drawer has a lock); all supported by a pair of boldly sculpted columns standing on a H-shaped pediment bring sturdiness. The vinyl is not original and was recently replaced. Note a few scratches and dents here and there due to the age. Circa date 1880. Dimensions 30”high/ 71”wide/ 36”deep. | |||||||||||
