| Here is a very pretty single door bookcase made during the reign of Napoleon III by the second half of the 19th century combining solid and veneer mahogany wood for an appealing result. This exquisitely patinaed antique is topped by an arched cornice centering a boldly sculpted crest depicting acanthus leaves above the arched glass door revealing an efficient display area providing a couple of adjustable shelves, standing on the sturdy pediment below offering additional storage with a bottom drawer. Note that the glass pane is not original and was replaced at some point. Circa date 1860. Dimensions 86”high/ 41”wide/ 18”deep. | |||||||||||
