| This is a rare and splendid buffet handcrafted from solid and beautifully patinaed oak during the reign of Napoleon III by the middle part of the 19th century. The serpentine shaped top sits upon an impressive façade featuring a total of 13 drawers, each exquisitely carved and surrounding the breathtaking central door boasting an intricate embellishment consisting of shell and acanthus patterns and revealing a storage compartment with single shelf. The pediment consists of boldly sculpted cabriole legs. Several scratches and dents can be seen here and there due to the age. Most of the locks are original. Circa date 1860.
