From Meji peirod, late 19th to early 20th century, Museum quality, true mingei article, Kogin embroidery Kimono from Aomori prefecture made around Meiji period. It is good in condition with slight aged worn. Kogin is a type of embroidery technique and it is traditionally done on evenweave fabric and is stitched as an over/under darning pattern. In order to create the pattern, the horizontal stitches vary in length.
