A beautiful and unique Alfred Meakin chintz pattern cup and saucer. There is a paisley pattern and gold decoration to the rim. The cup is 2" tall and 2" wide, the saucer is 4 1/2". Excellent condition, and a very difficult pattern to find. More pictures to come.

Freda and Dorothy were sisters and the daughters of English poet Charles Doughty, famous for Arabia Delecta, the inspiration for Lawrence of Arabia. This figure is 6 1/4 " and is part of the first series of the months of the year.
