| FIRST EDITION/ARTIST PROOF - Published by Sampson Low, Marston, London 1913. Small elephant folio (15 7/8" x 11 5/8") loose in original cloth portfolio. The Edition-de-Luxe of 93 copies on Japanese paper throughout. Front cover bears "Artist's Proof" in gilt. Top of title page stamped "Artist's Proofs." Brown cloth covers/boards are faded, scuffed, and moderate wear with burst hinges, and bright gilt lettering bearing the The Imperial Kiku-Mon on the front cover. A 60pp text which includes 11 numbered line drawings is followed by 7 b/w plates lettered A through G. Then follow the sixty-nine gorgeous plates of a plethora of Japanese fine art objects of which sixty-six are chromolithographs. Very scarce, collectable, and exquisite.
