| A monumental, rare one of a kind, and extraordinary Imari porcelain Hibachi is of Koransha quality, with precision design painting. Comprised of four main pictorial panels depicting Karako (Chinese boys), and the Gods of Good Fortune, reserved on a multi-floral, shishi mythical animal, and geometric backgrounds, the panels surmounted by ho-o (phoenix birds), the whole between upper and lower bands of ho-o and floral cartouches against a foliate background. The base with an underglaze blue signature. All in colors of iron red, yellow/mustard, underglaze blue, turquoise, black, and gilt. Condition is excellent with no restorations, chips, cracks, or hairlines, very minor rubbing commensurate with the age of the piece, and possesses kiln marks on the interior that occurred at the time of manufacture. Diameter 18 inches. Height 9.5 inches. Unknown signature on base.
