This listing offers a rare two piece perfume set of stoppered cologne bottle and cologne atomizer, made by Archimede Seguso for DeVilbiss. This DeVilbiss atomizer apparatus was first shown in a DeVilbiss catalog in 1956, which was exactly the time that A. Seguso was using powdered glass, “polveri”, to decorate over clear and pasta glass. So I’m speculating that these pieces were made at about that time. As nearly as I can determine, this style of glass was not shown in the DeVilbiss catalogs, al ...click for details

This listing features one of the finest paperweight vases I've seen in nearly 40 years of collecting and dealing in Art Glass - including Tiffany paperweight! Designed and executed by Ed Alexander at Orient & Flume, this Japanese Maple theme vase is number 74 in a limited edition of 500. The colors and execution are fabulous! The leaf forms are the perfect intense red of the real tree, and the branches are reactive opalescent glass that sets off and provides connectivity for the leaves. ...click for details

We offer one of the finest vases by Archimede Seguso that I’ve had the pleasure to own! The Opalino series vases were designed and made by A. Seguso in 1955, and are featured in virtually every reference of his work. The essence of these vases lies in opalescent bodies, usually with fine sfumato gold, and clear encalmo-applied rims that were also fumed with gold. The one exception that I’m aware of is a peach opaline body with a white opalescent rim, and no gold. This vase is a wonderful combina ...click for details

Featured is an oil on canvas painting by the well-listed artist E. Francis “Frank” Carson – 1881-1968 (or 1961, depending on which art site you believe). Carson oil paintings have sold at auction for up to $12,000 on at least two occasions, and one of his paintings was exhibited recently at the Peabody Essex Museum Spring Show. His whimsical watercolors, we believe, are undervalued in recent years. This painting, titled “Zahrat” in his note on the stretcher, is of a harem girl gazing into the se ...click for details

This listing offers a huge piece of signed Schneider Art Glass - one of the largest I've ever seen! Glorious grape purple amethyst marble streaked glass with random bubble inclusions and applied clear drops on the sides! The finishing of the hole in the ground pontil appears to be original to the piece, but since the lamp fittings were worn and of no particular note, I've enjoyed it for 25 years as a spectacular big urn. I've never seen another similar in color, execution or size! ...click for details
