We offer a wonderful 1920s period oil painting on panel signed front and back by Herbert J. Rollins. The subject is a beautiful woman in a colorful silk Japanese costume. While I’ve not found a direct reference for this artist, AskArt.com does show a listing for Helen Jordan Rollins, born 1893, and shows a 20s style still life of identical size on panel, with similarities of style. Because of these coincidences, I’m speculating that Herbert J. Rollins may have been her spouse. ...click for details
