This listing features a tall bottle-form vase made on the island of Malta by the Mdina Glassworks. The color is the wonderful Mediterranean blue, with a patchwork mottling reminiscent of the work done by Ermanno Toso on Murano. Script signature “Mdina” on the base. A great statement for a 50s or 60s modern setting!

We offer a pair of fabulous Alexandrite Glass Art Deco stylized ram figures ca 1960. Created, without doubt, by Archimede Seguso! The quality of the modeling is impeccable, and the color shading and light handling puts this pair of figures in another sphere! The pictures say it all. In 25 years of collecting and dealing in Murano glass, I've seen only one other of these, and that was in a magnificent private collection in New York. ...click for details
One of three pieces of RC Hedegaard pottery that we are currently offering, this plaque is the mate to our catalog item 00020. Again, the use of the distinctive combination of chocolate bisque and bright complementary glazes identifies it as a Hedegaard piece, and sets it apart from any other modern pottery!

This page features a rare perfume bottle from the firm of Archimede Seguso in the 1950s or early 60s. This diminutive bottle is the first we’ve ever seen from the firm of A. It has a warm cranberry lining, with a clear casing that was then treated with the “rotten acid” or “corroso” finish, using hydrofluoric acid to etch the surface. A. Seguso ma ...click for details
This is an exceptional representation of a fox - "volpe" in Italian - most likely rendered by Archimede Seguso. While the colors are not typical of his figural works, the quality of the modeling is very strong.
This guy is made of an opalescent base glass, with chocolate brown accents. The opal fire shows well in the feet, ears and face. The overall effect is very striking. ...click for details

This item carries the label of the firm V.A.M., which was owned by Giovanni Pinzan, Bruno Cimarosti, and Giovanni Andreotta during the 1950s, and may have been made by Ermanno Nason, who was working there at that time. In any case, it is a fabulously conceived and fabricated piece of glass, with four layers of color, and all sides facet cut and polished. It is simply stunning!
