Two strands of bird fetishes hand carved by the master Zuni Indian artist, David Tsikewa, circa 1970. Twenty-nine birds are on each strand of super fine olivella shell heishe, 28" long. Plus four more birds on the matching earrings. Each bird is carved with individual personality from shells and serpentine and coral. The "signature" carving is the woodpecker. Also a silver tag with "David" tells us of the authenticity and that Mary probably strung this necklace. All birds are perfect, no broken beaks or tails! Quite a feat for a delicate piece of jewelry over 40 years old! Buyer pays $15.00 for shipping and insurance.

Elegant gold earrings by Charles Loloma, the most famous Native American jeweler! Two shades of coral and purple sugulite are set in 14k gold in Loloma's classic stacked style. Note the fine gold bar separator. The one inch squares are finished with 14k gold posts. Three staggered length gold dangles create movement and catch the light. Total length is 1 3/4", not heavy. This lovely example of the art of Charles Loloma is from a local collector who used to host jewelry parties in her home for Charles in the late 1970s. Signed as pictured. Buyer pays $20.00 for shipping and insurance.
