Classic silversmithing by Navajo Indian artist Perry Shorty is elegant in its simplicity on this sterling silver ring set with turquoise from Carico Lake.

Shorty works in heavy gauge silver, the half round wire makes a chain to surround 26 mm oval of natural, beautiful turquoise. Detail include fine silver rope under the chain, heavy silver raindrops at the split shank.

Signed of course! Ring size is 8 1/2.

Contemporary silver and turquoise bola tie by award winning artist Albert Joe. Created in sterling silver and set with a brilliant natural Kingman turquoise, the traditional Navajo tooling, filing and stamping has a modern sense.

2" long by 1 1/2" wide, heavy guage silver body and tips.

Alfred Joe (Navajo) Artist of the Year for 2001 and 2009. Al works in both silver and gold, often setting them with high quality stones, and is especially known for his handmade beads. He considers his work contemporary but with traditional roots. He has won many awards for his work, including best of division at the Heard Museum show in 2005, and the coveted SWAIA Joe Cate Award in 2010.

Very beautiful pillow beads are handcrafted from sterling silver by an unknown Navajo Indian silversmith.

Although signed on the cones LK, we have not been able to find out who the artisan is.

The square beads are 13 mm and 12 mm, the rounds are 11 mm. Total length with hook and eye is 25 1/2".

Beautiful Kingman turquoise is set in sterling silver with lovely hand crafted silver beads. Unusual cast rain clouds replace the traditional squash blossoms.

Tufa cast naja 3" tall, has three matching turquoise and the rain symbol.

Navajo Indian, but unsigned. Circa 1960-1980.

The 26" long strand of silver beads is above average quality, 12 mm diameter each.
