This major work by Fred Ross comes back to us from a collection and there is one small abrasion to the paint on the corn, but hardly noticeable. Otherwise lovely condition.

Carved from a very large dried cottonwood root, the one piece tihu has neat carved details including moccasins, kilt, watermelon and piki bread. The horns are delightfully twisted and his body is bent in motion.

Koyemsi, the Mudhead Kachina stands or hangs, 10" tall plus the horns, total height is 14". Signed.
