Red pottery tall neck vase traditionally hand crafted by Maricopa Indian artist Vesta Bread. Hand built with coils of native clay, stone burnished red clay slip, painted with boiled mesquite bark and pit fired.The classic shaped vase stands 6 inches tall and is 4 inches across the body. One of six Maricopa pots purchased from Vesta Bread at her home around 1969. Unsigned, as she made them for the collector. Fine original condition. Beautifully painted design, one side fired light.
