| Fantastic, extremely rare, beautiful William Spratling silver and malachite cross with silver chain. From Spratling's first design period. Hallmarks Circa 1944-1946. Spratling was the leading designer of Mexican silver during the fabulous GOLDEN ERA OF MEXICAN SILVER and had a very close relationship with other famous silver designers like Fred Davis, Hector Aguilar, Los Castillo, Antonio Pineda, and Margot de Taxco. Excellent condition, wear from normal use, no abuse. Measurements: Cross 1 ½” X 1 5/16” round silver circle at top of cross ¾” diameter. Silver chain with clasp 20 ½” long.
