Margot de Taxco Enamel & sterling necklace & bracelet
This is a rare beautiful Margot de Taxco blue enamel and sterling three dimensional “Coi” fish necklace and bracelet. The vintage set was made in Taxco, Mexico circa 1950s by Margo van Voorhies Carr. This set is illustrated in William Spratling and the Mexican Sivler Renaissance book on page 48. Margot de Taxco as she is known today was looking to the past, Asian and native designs to find inspiration for her famous jewelry. The bracelet and necklace are hallmarked Sterling; Made in Mexico, Margot de Taxco; Eagle 16 assay mark, style number 5644. Excellent vintage condition, this is a rare find as a matching set. Necklace has wearable length of 16 1/2 inches by ½” wide. Push clasp is sound. The hinged bracelet is 2" widest to 1 & 1/8" at the push clasp, 6 ½ " inside circumference. Very comfortable to wear. Email or call with questions.
