Japanese early 20th C. fine Satsuma vase by Kinkozan. The wonderful vase has the design of chrysanthemums on the neck and base. The main design is of bamboo and sparrows finely painted in minute detail. The vase measures 6" tall by 3 7/8" in diameter. The vase has the Kinkozan stamp on the bottom.

Japanese early 20th century pair of hexagonal SATSUMA vases. Each vase has 2 2-paneled painting with human figures and 2 1-paneled painting of birds and flowers. Done in fine detail. Each vase measures 10" tall and 6 1/4" wide. Unsigned.

Japanese early 20th century large pair of Kinkozan vases. Each vase has 2 painted panels, 1 in front and 1 in back. Finely painted with great detail and expression. Panels are placed over dark blue background with overglaze gold decoration. Some of the gold decoration has been rubbed off. One vases has the Kinkozan sticker on the base and the other has only a part of the sticker left. No Kinkozan stamp or signature. This other character is probably the logo for the shop. The beige colored slip has dark brown and black glaze used for the characters. Some of the dark brown black slip areas have been chipped off with time. Japanese early 20th century ceramic SAKE bottle. The bottle has the name YAMAGAWAYA shop written on the bottle with other character written on the sides. There is also NISHI HAGIWARA written, probably referring to an address. The beige colored slip has black/brown glaze used for the characters. These large bottles were used by the restaurants and bars of the time and returned to the SAKE suppliers for refills. The bottle measures 10" in height and 5" in diameter.

Japanese Meiji Period fine Satsuma bowl by Yabu Meizan. The inside of the bowl has many finely painted butterflies flying around a large and beautifully painted chrysanthemum blossom. The outside of the bowl has different craftsmen at work with geometric trim at top and stylized chrysanthemum trim filled with mille fleur design at bottom. Signed Yabu Meizan on bottom. The bowl measures 2" tall and 4" in diameter.
