Japanese Meiji Period gold lacquer cabinet. The gold lacquer design is of fans done in wonderful detail on the flat top surfaces of the cabinet. The front part of he cabinet is done in a beautiful mouuntain and pine tree design. The cabinet is 35 3/4" tall, 32 1/2" wide by 14 1/4" deep.
Japanese Meiji Period finely inlaid mother of pearl cabinet. The multiple level cabinet is covered with finely cut and inlaid pieces of mother of pearl in a traditional Chinese landscape design. The level of craftsmanship displayed in this piece is very high. The cabinet measures 35" high, 31" wide by 12 1/2" deep.
Japanese Meiji Period Nihonmatsu clothing 2 section tansu. The outer layer is done in Keyaki wood and the inner portion is done in cedar. The entire outer surface is coated in lacquer. The upper portion has 2 large full sized drawers. The lower secion has 1 large full sized drawer on top and a smaller drawer below with a small drawer to the right of that. The tansu measures 45 1/4" tall, 42" wide and had a depth of 18".
Japanese late 19th century Kiriwood 2 section clothing TANSU. The hardware on the tansu is done in the design of fans. The top section has 2 large full sized drawers and the lower section has 1 large fulled sized drawer with a smaller drawer below. To the right of that is a small deep storage area. The tansu measures 42 3/4" tall, 35 3/4" wide by 17" deep.
Japanese late 19th century 2 section TANSU. Made of Keyaki wood. The top section has 3 large full sized drawers. The bottom section has a large storage area with 2 sliding doors. Next to this section is a section with locking door. Beneath are 2 hald sized drawers.
