Japanese 18th century or earlier SETO-ware CHAIRE. The CHAIRE has glaze on the inside and upper 2/3 of the outside. The bottom third remains unglazed and shows a dark brown body. The SETO CHAIRE and ivory lid measure 2 3/4" tall and 2 3/8" wide at the widest.
