Japanese Edo Period carved wooden RANMA. This RANMA is wonderfully designed and carved in the shape of rats among sacks of rice, lucky hammer and DAIKON, Chinese radish. The RANMA measures 41" long, 19" tall by 4" deep.
Japanese Meiji Period wooden calligraphy box with hinged top and 3 drawers. Unfortunately all of the information about its previous owners that was written on the bottom of the drawers has been sanded off. The calligraphy box measures 13 1/2" long, 9 1/2" wide and 10" tall.

Pair of Japanese 19th Century carved elephant heads, one with its mouth opened and one with it closed. Each architectural piece is carved from a single piece of wood. Beautifully carved with a lot of detail and expression. The elephant with the closed mouth measures 7 1/2" wide, 17" tall by 11" deep and the elephant with the opened mouth measures 7 1/2" wide, 16" tall and 11" deep.
Japanese Edo Period carved wooden mini KANNON and attendants. The carved and painted KANNON, attendants (8) and hillside are beautifully done with great detail and expression. The hillside measures 9 1/2" tall, 9" wide and 7" deep. There are suppose to be 12 attendants but only 8 remain.
