Japanese late 20th century, actually dated 1991, ceramic wall plaque by master ceramic artist, SAEKI MORIYOSHI. Born in 1949, SAEKI lives and works in the Mashiko area of Tochigi Prefecture in Japan. He also presently teaches at the prestigious Tokyo School of Fine Arts. The plaque comes with TOMOBAKO, or original artist signed wooden storage box. The plaque measures 16" wide, 8 3/4" tall and 1 1/2" thick.

A member of the prestigious DENTOKOGEIKAI for years, Hayashi has exhibited at major exhibitions throughout Japan. Japanese 20th century large porcelain vase by FUJII SHUMEI. The large bulbous form is decorated with leaves done in beautifully detail. Signed SHUMEI on bottom. FUJII SHUMEI born in 1936 and living in the Arita area, is a famous porcelain artist who exhibited at the prestigious annual NITTEN show in Japan, among others. Japanese late 20th to early 21st century ORIBE ware large tray by artist SATO KAZUJI. (1948 -) SATO KAZUJI studied with ceramicist, HAYASHI KOTARO, a SHINO ware artist, but both artist are MINO artist. In 1978 he started his own kiln in Gifu Prefecture working with SHINO and ORIBE ware. The tray comes with TOMOBAKO, or original artist signed wooden storage box. The tray measures 29 1/2" in wide, 18" deep and 2 1/2" tall. The tray sits on 4 large feet.

Japanese 20th century Fujiwara-yaki earthenware plate by HONMA SHINICHI. The plate was made circa 1983. HONMA SHINICHI was born in 1948 in KOGOTA-CHO, MIYAGI. He graduated from KOISHIKAWA High School in Tokyo in 1966. In 1973 he built his first kiln in FUJISAWA-CHO, IWATE Prefecture. In 1983 he built his second kiln in the same town.
