Japanese early to mid 20th century wooden KASHIGATA with TAI, or sea bream design. The TAI is carved with a lot of detail. The KASHIGATA used for sweetened rice cakes. It measures 12" wide, 5 5/8" tall and 1 5/8" thick.
Japanese 20th Century bronze vase with etched and inlaid design by Keisen. The vase was made circa 1976. The vase has inlaid name seal on bottom written KEISEN. The vase is 7 1/2" tall by 10" in diameter. Comes with TOMOBAKO, original artist signed wooden storage box.
Japanese mid 20th century boat shaped bamboo flower basket by basket master, TANABE CHIKUUNSAI II. TANABE CHIKUUNSAI II, from the Osaka area, lived from 1910 to 1999. This basket is signed by the artist and comes with TOMOBAKO, its original wooden artist signed storage box. Also comes with bamboo flower container. The basket measures 9 1/4" tall, 9" wide and 9" deep.
Japanese mid 20th century hand hammered copper vase by GYOKUSENDO. The vase has a wonderful design of golden panels coming down from the top of the vase. The vase is signed by the artist, KAKUHEI and also has the GYOKUSENDO stamp on the bottom. The vase comes with TOMOBAKO, or original artist signed wooden storage box. Japanese early 20th century earthenware teapot by SASAKI NIROKU. The wonderful teapot has a Chinese landscape design carved into the side. The teapot measures 5 1/4" wide, 4 3/4" tall and 5" deep.
Japanese 20th century bamboo flower basket by master artist, KOSUGE KOUGETSU. KOSUGE was born in 1932 and learned the craft of bamboo flower basket making from his father. His first work of art was selected for exhibition in 1951. He subsequently exhibited at the 10th NITTEN and the Japanese Arts and Crafts Exhibition held once a year. In 2000 he had his first solo exhibition. The basket measures 12 1/8" tall by 4 1/4" in diameter.

Japanese mid 20th century lacquer placque. The framed lacquer placque has the design of MADAI, or true perch done in lacquer with inlaid shell eyes. Made by lacquer artist YAMAZAKI RYUZAN (1897-1969). A Toyama lacquer artist. He was a NITTEN exhibitor and a NITTEN judge in post-war Japan. Japanese early to mid 20th century iron horse. The iron horse is made by artist MIYAZAWA KANAE. The signature of the artist is on the inner part of the back right leg. The horse measures 8 5/8" tall, 6 7/8" long and 2 1/2" wide.
