Japanese mid 20th century boat shaped bamboo flower basket by basket master, TANABE CHIKUUNSAI II. TANABE CHIKUUNSAI II, from the Osaka area, lived from 1910 to 1999. This basket is signed by the artist and comes with TOMOBAKO, its original wooden artist signed storage box. Also comes with bamboo flower container. The basket measures 9 1/4" tall, 9" wide and 9" deep.

Japanese mid 20th century hand hammered copper vase by GYOKUSENDO. The vase has a wonderful design of golden panels coming down from the top of the vase. Japanese 20th century bamboo flower basket by master artist, KOSUGE KOUGETSU. KOSUGE was born in 1932 and learned the craft of bamboo flower basket making from his father. His first work of art was selected for exhibition in 1951. He subsequently exhibited at the 10th NITTEN and the Japanese Arts and Crafts Exhibition held once a year. In 2000 he had his first solo exhibition. The basket measures 12 1/8" tall by 4 1/4" in diameter.

Japanese 20th century large porcelain vase by FUJII SHUMEI. The large bulbous form is decorated with leaves done in beautifully detail. Signed SHUMEI on bottom. FUJII SHUMEI born in 1936 and living in the Arita area, is a famous porcelain artist who exhibited at the prestigious annual NITTEN show in Japan, among others. Japanese late 20th to early 21st century ORIBE ware large tray by artist SATO KAZUJI. (1948 -) SATO KAZUJI studied with ceramicist, HAYASHI KOTARO, a SHINO ware artist, but both artist are MINO artist. In 1978 he started his own kiln in Gifu Prefecture working with SHINO and ORIBE ware. The tray comes with TOMOBAKO, or original artist signed wooden storage box. The tray measures 29 1/2" in wide, 18" deep and 2 1/2" tall. The tray sits on 4 large feet.
