Japanese early 20th century bamboo flower basket. A wonderful basket made of tall cylindrical form with handle. Woven with light colored thinly cut bamboo strips in a unique pattern. The handle is a single bamboo stalk with very fine bamboo branch winding around and down the side and front of the basket. Unsigned. The basket measures 22" tall and 6 3/4" in diameter.

Japanese early 20th century bamboo flower basket with copper liner by master basket maker, MAEDA CHIKUBOSHI I (1872-1950). The basket is made low with tall handle. Signed CHIKUBOSAI on large strip of bamboo on bottom. No box. The basket measures 13" tall and 15" in diameter.

Japanese late Edo Period ZUSHI containing the FUGEN and MONJU BOSATSU. FUGEN BOSATSU is seated on the elephant on the left and MONJU BOSATSU is seated on the SHISHI on the right. FUGEN is the BOSATSU of good conduct the MONJU is the BOSATSU of wisdom and education. Carved in fine detail. Japanese Meiji Period very rare and unusual blue and white dragon design porcelain lamp base by MAKUZU KOZAN I. The piece is signed MAKUZU on bottom. The lamp base comes with a wooden storage box signed by the 4th generation MAKUZU, MAKUZU KOSAI. The inscription on the side of the box says BLUE AND WHITE DRAGON DESIGN LAMP. MADE BY MAKUZU KOZAN I. Signed and stamped MAKUZU KOSAI. 12" height by 7 1/4" in diameter.
