| Japanese early to mid 20th century copper vase. The vase has been hand-hammered and pewter has been applied, along with a finish called YUMOMIJI, or evening maple leaf. This finish was originally developed in China in an attempt to capture the sunset colors of the Sea of Japan. As time goes by the finish coloration darkens. Made by Gyokusendo a company established in 1816. Stamped Gyokusendo on the bottom. The vase measures 8" tall by 6 1/2" in diameter. | |||||||||||||||
