| Japanese Late 20th century bronze flower holder with snail by NEYA CHUROKU (1897-1987). The holder is leaf shaped with a oval hole cut into the center. The snail is crawling up the side of the center. The holder has 2 holes in back for the flowers. The front side edge of the holder is polished to a high sheen. Neya Churoku exhibited at many exhibitions including the 1933 World Exhibition in Chicago and the 15th Teiten (1934) where he won the Tokusen (grand prize). Comes with TOMOBAKO, original artist signed wooden storage box. Stamp of artist on base. 14 3/4" tall by 4 1/4" wide at its widest. | ||||||||
