| Ancient Egyptian sarcophagus mask. Composed of wood covered with gesso and painted with a very attractive decoration. The yellow face tells us that this mask was made for a woman and the lotus flower on the forehead combined with the opem eyes in combination with the nicely curved eyebrows and the full fleshy mouth with the lower lip protruding tells us that this mask dates to the Ramesside Period Dating: 1307 - 1070 BC. Condition: Excellent, no restoration or any overpainting done. High 22,5 cm (9 inch wide 22 cm 8 4/5/ inch Provenance: Polish Aristocratic family, collected in the early 1900 s | |||||
