VERY RARE 18TH CENTURY MEERSCHAUM AND WHALEBONE PIPE.
This pipe has been consigned for me to offer for sale. It would appear to be a rare survival of the early days of pipe smoking and was probably the property of a person of some wealth. I have searched in vain on the net for similar pipes illustrated but although meerschaum was in use in England from about 1720 I can find no other examples from the 18th centur ...click for details
