A fine carved and painted marble sculpture of the Hindu deity Hanuman, the monkey god and hero of the Hindu epic, the Ramayana. He is holding his mace in one hand and the Sanjeevi Parvatham in the other. From northern India, mid 19th century. 7 inches (17.7cm) high, 3.5/8 inches (9.2cm) wide. Perfect condition.
