Makuzu Kozan Vase, Meiji.
A GOOD PORCELAIN VASE BY MAKUZU KOZAN, MEIJI.

A fine quality lantern shape porcelain vase beautifully decorated with pairs of fishes against a swirling blue ground. Within the foot-rim can be found the mark “Makuzu Kozan sei” in underglaze blue.

Approximately 10.7/8 inches (27.6cm) high. The vase is in perfect condition but the camera picks up some light wear from normal use. The very light scratches on the body of the lower red fish cannot be seen in normal viewing.
