Chinese Export Famille Verte Plate, Yongzheng, 1730.
A CHINESE EXPORT FAMILLE VERTE PLATE, YONGZHENG, EARLY 18TH CENTURY.

A Chinese export plate decorated in the famille verte palette with swags of flowers and flying cranes within a wide diaper border. The rim has an iron-rich dressing, “Batavian brown”, thought to reduce the incidence if fritting. This dish was made specifically for export to the West during the Yongzheng period, circa 1730.

Approximately 22.3cm diameter. The plate is in perfect condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. Some wear to the enamels from normal use.

Please study the photographs.
