Apparatus for enlarging or reducing drawings. Beautifully handmade from brass with engraved scales and bone castors. The screws are also handmade. The apparatus appears to be complete in its original pine box. The lead fulcrum weight has three tiny steel points underneath and the remains of its silk covering.

Length of instrument when closed is 18.1/2”. The condition is very fine. The dovetailed pine box is also fine but has lost one of its two latches on the outside and on the inside the two wooden securing blocks for the lead weight are missing.
