A Fine Chinese Export Deep Dish, 1720~1735.
A FINE KANGXI OR YONGZHENG EXPORT DEEP DISH, EARLY 18TH CENTURY.

Now and again one comes across an export piece of exceptional quality and I feel especially lucky as this deep dish is in perfect condition, not even a frit on the edge. The centre of the dish unusually features the Buddha’s Hand Citron along with nicely painted bamboo. The cavetto is decorated with scholarly accomplishments; books, scrolls and a qin within an expertly painted diaper. The back of the dish is plain except for four lingzhi. The dish dates from the late Kangxi or Yongzheng period, circa 1720 ~ 1735.

Please study the photographs.

8.5/8 inches (21.9 cm) diameter, 2 inches (5.1 cm) high.
