The vase, shaped like a tall-necked zhadou, is covered overall with a well-fired deep brown-green glaze, known as teadust. The vase is delicately and expertly potted and the foot-rim retains some of its original iron dressing. I’m assuming a 19th century date for manufacture though it may well be earlier.

Approximately 6.1/2 inches (16.5 cm) high. There is a small chip on the mouth rim. Some light calcium deposits on the lower interior. A small blemish on the shoulder where an unwanted fragment of porcelain was not cleared from the vase before glazing. Please study the photographs.
