This is a genuine silver antique ornament. It is not a reproduction. It is a very high silver content, very nice highly raised bats for decoration on both sides. Bats are a symbol of blessing. It is 1 1/2" across. I purchased this piece before they were being reproduced. A very nice example of silver ornament.
Many of these classic Chinese silver ornaments that are now appearing on the market look old but they are modern replicas. This one is not a modern piece, it is at least 110 years old. Coral bead on top, the top lid does not come off. The bats are symbols of blessing. It is very well crafted, very high silver content, all parts intact with carnelian ball. Authentic Qing Dynasty Silver pin case. Great workmanship, excellent condition. Three figures in garden, reverse is moth. Longevity symbols, agate pull. Overall length is 7 1/2", case is 2". Good medium-heavy weight piece. Outstanding piece of antique ornamentation.
