A lot of hand work went into this very nice bone with inlaid horn snuff bottle. It is a crane with a carnelian top spoon. Nice design, good quality handwork. It is about 2" long. This quality of work is hard to come by in China today where the economy and pay to craftsmen has gone up, and quality has gone down on everything handmade. Good investment.

Mammoth tusk ivory, extinct not endangered. This shrimp netsuke was carved in China by a master, design is based on an antique Japanese netsuke. Same fine quality, only this one is much less expensive. From all angles you can see the quality of this piece. It is a good cut of mammoth tusk. It is a wonderful piece. A very unique small handcarved wood chess set from Africa. Most of the figures are monkeys and apes. This wonderful figure was released in 1990 by Franklin Mint and Walt Disney. It was a limited edition piece. The figure of Mickey with the Magic Book is handpainted resin. He rides the whirlpool in a beautiful piece of Austria Crystal Glass. The figure has no damage. It is 5" wide and 3 1/4" tall. A rare collectors choice.

I buy my Netsukes and wood carvings from the very best carvers in China. The economy there is changing, cheap labor is gone. Skilled craftsmen are old and no new ones will replace them. This piece is a superior carving, fine details, glass inset eyes. A mama rat and four babies cluster in this charming larger netsuke style fruitwood carving. It is about 1 3/4" tall. One piece of a very hard wood to carve. Carved in China in the Japanese style.

Released years ago and no longer in production. This outstanding set from Alice in Wonderland, The Mock Turtle, Alice and the Griffin. Recreation of a famous Tenniel Illustration. Faithful, great details and hand coloring. Great sculpting by Kaiyodo, a Japanese toy and candy company. These PVC figures are hard to find. The Griffin is about 2 7/8" tall. All are marked on detachable bases. A great set of 3.

This is the White Rabbit checking his pocket watch, he is late and about to be chased down the hole by Alice. Faithful to Tenniels original illustrations. Hand colored, great details. He is about 2 3/8" tall. All are marked on bottom. A hard to find piece.
