An honest Inuit Eskimo carving from soapstone. The soapstone has an unusual translucent green in the head area. The beak has been colored red, in mating season the Puffins beak turns red. This piece is vintage, it is signed J.R.Oktollik. It has all the classic etching decoration, and is a classic very good piece of Native American Eskimo art. It is about 3 1/2" long and 2 1/2" tall.
