A good price for mudmen dish garden figures of this age. They are decades old, some may be antique. They are somewhat crude export novelties that were made to go in Chinese rock dish gardens. They are great miniatures. Because of small size the details on faces are hard to see, but they all have nice details. Three sitting figures, one boy on water buffalo, three standing farmers. The tall standing farmer is 1 1/2". None have damage which is rare for this type of figure. A nice collection of ...click for details

A set of four monkeys, made in the mudman form from China. Made for small rock gardens or bonsai or just for a miniature colledtion. About 20 years old, export quality but a lot of hand work ,ones with peach are about 1 1/4". This type of handwork takes time and this type of export work will become more valuable and collectible as fewer craftsmen do this type of work. A good value for cute pieces.

These red clay pieces were made to hold and serve foods. The valued clay is also used to make expensive and fine tea vessels. This beautiful goard shaped pot is decorated in a traditional style using a heavy onlay of enamel glaze. The shape is lucky and was probably meant to hold wine. It could hold wine, saki or flowers. It has no mark but is was made in the way other pieces I have that are at least fifty years old. It has no damage, I do not list pieces with damage or repairs with out a very cl ...click for details
