An intricate complex detailed and wonderful set of three monkeys hang from a tree branch. This is a fine quality cast bronze from China. It is not old but it does come from a skilled workshop. The monkeys lock together to form a chain. They do not unlock because of a very clever and complex design. The monkeys will hang on one of several branches on the tree base, so you can have a number of different arrangements. Handmade, superb workmanship. Silver cask box, top has pierced old kingdom glyphs. The top pierced panel is raised above underlying panel to show depth. This little box is 4 1/2 cm wide and just over 2 cm tall. It is a wonderful artful piece. Has small "s" stamped on top, may look like a tiny dent, but it is the makers silver mark. Age unknown, not old.

Lovely little box. 2 1/4" long and 1 1/4tall. Has red silk lining. Hand made, inlayed abalone floral pattern and black laquer. Asian origin, a lot of hand work for a very small price. Wonderful collectible or gift.

A classic Chinese mudman figure made for table top gardens. He came from an English estate and does not have any marks. He is 6" tall, brilliant colors, no parts missing or breaks. He holds symbols of Luck and Wealth. High fired denser clay body. A great find on these very collectible pieces. Probably made about 1910.

Hand carved hard style cinnabar does not contain mercury. A wonderful Chinese beast that is a dragon-tortoise mix. His shell lifts off to reveal a black laquer chamber that will store a number of things. He is 5 1/2" long and about 3 1/2" tall. He has no damage. He is not old.

This carving is probably 50 years old. The details are outstanding and the quality of the soapstone is also outstanding. The God of wisdom with elongated forehead is holding a peach for longevity. Oily smooth yellow-tan soapstone has very uniform matrix. The piece is small at 2 1/2" tall, but the very fine carving of face, hand and clothing makes this a special piece.

A most unique item and somewhat of an odd mix of qualities. This teapot was made for use by one person for one cup of tea or to be used to drink out of the spout. The porcelain clay workmanship is some what crude, with firing cracks and a primitive original lid. There are no marks. This very nice carved bone snuff bottle is older about 30 years. Great details in the shape of a turtle. Head pulls out with original bone spoon. He is 2 1/4" long. Great clean condition.

These heavy guage copper with class enamel bottles were made for export at the turn of the last century. I have seen them called "Ferderal Period" They are hard to find now and this one has no cracks, chips or damage which is VERY rare. Wonderful blues, Unicorn beast same on both sides. This is an undamaged set of porcelain horses usually called the Emperors Lucky horses. There are 8 traditional poses in wonderful rich Tang color glazed. These old horses were made a few decades ago. They have very fine details and very fine castings. It is rare to find a set of 8 undamaged. I found these in San Francisco where they were imported many decades ago. The average length is 3".
