The painted part of this piece is probably fourty or fifty years old. It has been set in a silver frame that can also act to hang is as a pendant. It is 2" in diameter. It was painted by a master, the images do not do it justice. I would guess the media is opaque water color. It has gold highlights and a sparkley "gem" off the belt. The rat has somewhat of a pig like look, and it adds to the charm of this really nice piece of art. I guess it is painted of some kind of paper board, ...click for details
