Spinach Jade Lucky Talisman Pendant Dragon
A substantial piece of dark spinach jade. This talisman pendant is 2 1/2" tall, 1 5/8" wide and 3/8" thick. I was told the piece of jade it was carved from came from the floor tile of a temple in China that was being deconstructed. I do not know if this is true, the carving is not old but it is very skilled. You see a dragon and a rodent. It could be used as a pendant, but I think it was meant to be carried for luck, or just on display as a lovely object. It is dark, some photos show light passing through it.
