A pair of Roman bronze appliqué grips with dolphin head finials and a stylized acanthus leaf on the front side. Opposed volutes on the reverse. 1st-3rd century AD. Length of each: approx. 14.1 cm. Both in excellent condition. Fine dark green patination with blueish and light green areas. Ex Dutch private collection.
