Very fine and early vintage silver and amethyst bracelet by Maestro Antonio Pineda. A very early interpretation of Maestro Pineda's Xs and Os featuring opulently sized amethyst "o's" in variation with equally and balanced silver "x's". A lovely pair of Mexican silver earrings finished with turquoise embellishments. These earring designs are influenced by the traditional styles of adornment from Mexico --- some of which date to the pre-Colombian era. In interviews with the artisans, there is some interesting history which would suggest that Matilde Poulat and other silver artisans of Mexico City were exposed to and influenced by this work in the early 1930s through 1940s.
